About the Ives 5BB1 4.5x4.5 NRP hinge (matte black)
The Ives 5BB1 is a 5-knuckle, standard weight, ball bearing full mortise hinge, 4-1/2" x 4-1/2", here with a non-removable pin (NRP) and matte black finish. Ball bearings keep heavy-use doors swinging smoothly, and the NRP pin stops someone from pulling the pins to remove the door.
Typical uses: outswinging doors where the hinge pins face the outside, such as exterior and secure-area doors.
For interior doors, the 5BB1 4.5x4.5 matte black with removable pin is available too.
